- Step 3: Test integration & go-live
In this article, we cover how to integrate your Wix site with Affirm. It's a great way to improve the checkout experience for your customers. Let’s take a look at the steps!
Steps
The Affirm integration offers an excellent set of features for your Wix site. Before proceeding, confirm that Wix payments is configured to accept Affirm payment. Then, follow these steps.
Step 1: Access the Affirm Merchant Portal
- Log in to your Affirm account and go to dashboard.
- Click on the API keys section on the left bar. Leave this tab open.
Step 2: Install Affirm as a payment method
To add Affirm as a payment method, follow the steps on Wix e-commerce.
Step 3: Test integration & go live
Testing your Affirm Integration is an important part of this process. It’s quick and doesn't require you to confirm an entire order or take out an actual Affirm loan. To test, we recommend the following steps:
-
Create a cart on your store’s website for a total of $35 or greater. Keep in mind that:
- While you cannot manually set this minimum in Wix, Affirm’s system will automatically enforce it, offering payment options for carts within a specific range.
- Pi30 (Pay in 30) allows customers to make purchases between $35 and $49, and pay 30 days after their purchase while Pi4 divides the purchase amount into four payments every two weeks.
- The cart floor for Affirm purchases is $35 USD if Pay in 30 is part of your financing program. For merchants where a financing program does not include Pay in 30, the cart floor is set to $50 USD.
- Affirm financing will not be available for carts below $35.
- Move forward with order flow and select Affirm as your payment method.
- Confirm and place an order to initiate the Affirm application process.
- Verify that you see the screen below. If so, you have successfully integrated Affirm into your checkout!
