Affirm uses two different types of disbursement of funds according to your merchant integration which will depend if you work with a direct integration (API, Integrated Telesales, or In-Store integrated Checkout) or if you work through Virtual Card Network payment (Affirm Lite, In-Store and/or Telesales Landing Page Checkout).
Billing for direct API integration
When using a direct API Integration, Affirm or a partner bank disburses the full amount of funds to the merchant based on capture call, net of fees, and refunds. This will reconcile your settlements on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis.

Billing for Virtual Card Network (VCN)
Affirm’s Virtual Card Network billing is managed by the existing payment gateway (eg. card processor) which works with a monthly basis invoice containing the “Virtual Card MDR” and “Transaction Fee”. These fees are not deducted from the merchant’s daily settlements and are only available via the monthly invoice which defers to the direct API integration settlement.
