In situations where checkout errors occur in the live environment, Affirm Initiates a Live Test Order to ensure that the integration is working as intended. These orders follow the standard transaction process, resulting in fees, including the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR).
While processing a Test Order refund, you might want to note that there isn’t an effective way to differentiate between Standard and Test order refunds. Hence why, you will notice that the merchant fee is not returned.
To resolve the issue, simply reach out to our Merchant Care Team through the help widget in the Business Resource Hub or Merchant Portal and provide the following:
- Loan ID
- Reimbursement Amount
